- Due to Covid-19, clients must wear a mask to their appointment and will be directed to wash their hands immediately when entering the salon.
- If you are sick, coughing, difficulty breathing, have a fever, taking care of someone who is sick, quarantined due to the Covid-19 or in a household with someone who has symptoms, please reschedule your appointment.
- ABSOLUTELY NO GUESTS, NO PETS, NO CHILDREN.
- Prior to your permanent cosmetic enhancement, think about the look that you wish to achieve. As experts in the field of color analysis and makeovers, we ensure that the correct colors and styles are chosen for you, however, it is your experience and you are part of the decision-making process. Permanent cosmetic enhancements normally require multiple application sessions to achieve the best results. Therefore, you will be required to return for at least one control procedure four to six weeks after your initial application. The color intensity may be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the procedure. This is normal and will subside and become softer as the skin heals. This process can take up to fourteen to thirty days.
- Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may be swollen or red, you are advised not to make social plans on the day of your enhancement.
- If you would like, please wear your normal make-up to your enhancement appointment. Shower and fix your hair, taking extra care not to get your brows or lip wet for several days.
-If you have a history of cold sores, please consult your physcian prior to lip procedure. Please note: Cold sores may remain dormant but recurrence may be triggered through stimulation of the lip procedure.
- Do not take aspirin, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, or Niacin (Vitamin B3) twenty-four hours prior to and after your enhancement. If you are on any kind of blood thinner, please consult physician.
- Do not discontinue any medication before consulting with your doctor, such as blood thinners.
- Do not drink coffee, alcohol or energizing drinks the day before and the day of treatment. Failure to do so will result in increase bleeding, patchy healed results, and the anesthetic will not be as effective.
- Do not take any turmeric, oils, or omega3 (fish oil) one week before treatment. This is to reduce bleeding.
- Keep alcohol intake to a minimum twenty-four hours prior to your enhancement.
- A sensitivity test will be waived unless requested.
- Do not use Retin A skincare products close to the enhancement area one month prior to and after your procedure.
- Do not use AHA skincare products close to the enhancement area two weeks prior to and after your procedure.
- In order to avoid infections, any blemishes, pimples, medical, or skin conditions in the brow or lip region cannot be worked on. Please always check a few days closer to the appointment. Rescheduling within seventy-two hours of your appointment will result in forfeiting your deposit. No exceptions.
- Do not tan or have intense sun exposure five to seven days before treatment. This may cause scarring and will affect pigment selection, retention, and skin integrity.
- Waxing treatments should be performed no less than five days prior to your enhancement.
- IPL laser hair removal should be performed no less than two weeks prior to your enhancement.
- Electrolysis treatments should be performed no less than seven days prior to your enhancement.
- As with electrolysis, the National Blood Service does not accept donations of blood for one year after a permanent cosmetic enhancement.
- Please read our Policy and Cancellation to be fully informed.
- Gently clean eyebrows or lip at the end of the day with a damp cotton pad and washed hands (blot eyebrow or lip area gently to remove any lymph). Please DO NOT RUB treatment area.
- For oily skin, dry heal (NO ointment or anything on the eyebrows). IF eyebrow area feels "tight", only apply a thin layer similar to a grain of rice over eyebrow area when needed.
- For non-oily skin, apply AfterCare gel/cream one to two times a day (thin layer as minute as a grain of rice) after the first forty-eight hours.
- Keep eyebrows dry. Avoid soaking in water for too long, swimming, using the sauna, or anything else that may create moisture around the eyebrow area. Short showers and washing the face is fine, but be sure to avoid the eyebrow area. If treatment area gets wet, please DO NOT Panic. Blot dry with a clean lint free gauze/cotton round.
-Keep lips moisturized as advised by your artist. Avoid irritation from salty or spicy food. Use a clean, disposable straw and utensils as lips are healing.
- No exercising or tanning for seven days.
- No waxing or threading for twenty-one days.
- No makeup, eyebrow pencil, lotion, lip stick, or other facial or lip products on the eyebrows or lip area during the healing stage (seven to fourteen days or until there is no more signs of scabbing).
- Keep your brows and lip in a sanitary environment to heal properly.
- Do not scratch, pick, or peel around the eyebrow or lip area, as this may cause scarring and/or pigment loss.
-Please do not schedule any chemical treatments or lip fillers until brows or lip are completely healed.
- If necessary, use an eyebrow pencil (please use clean pencil and/or brushes) to touch up after eyebrows heal completely (no more signs of scabbing). Apply SPF sunscreen on eyebrow or lip area to prevent pigment from fading too quickly.
What to expect with either a brow or lip procedure (this is just a guideline as days vary for every client)
- Immediately after treatment – shape may appear uneven due to swelling.
- Day 1 – 3: Eyebrows will appear darker and thicker. Lips will appear brighter and more vibrant. There will be swelling, tightness, and dryness at the treatment area.
- Day 4 – 7: Eyebrows or lip will be dry and itchy. Do not scratch, rub or pick at it. Treatment area might start to have cracks and scab or flake off. Eyebrows or lip will look patchy and uneven during healing process. It is absolutely normal. Please DON’T PANIC. TRUST THE PROCESS!
- Day 7 – 10: Scabs should be subsiding (some can take up to three weeks).
- Sometimes eyebrows or lip will appear as if there is no color. The remaining color has absorbed under the layer of skin and in the following week it will resurface as skin cells repair.
- Week 3 – 4: As your skin regenerates, your color will start lifting to the surface and will get darker week by week. Brows might still look patchy or uneven in shape. Some rare cases pigment doesn’t retain well. Touchups are necessary for optimal results.
- Week 4 – 6: Come back for a touch up. Thank you for your business!
Just a Reminder:
Healing is a process that takes time. Subjective effect on different individuals, e.g. skin types, environment, lifestyle, and so forth affect the attachment of color. Most clients will need two sessions, some will only need one and some will need a third touchup to complete the look at an extra charge. Heal results vary per individual. Most importantly, please trust the process!
